Testimonials

SS – Ged is a very professional and knowledgeable coach who has a great enthusiasm for running. He is very supportive, encouraging and see’s potential in everybody. He is very approachable which means it is easy to benefit from his knowledge.  The training schedule that he has provided for me is very detailed, easy to follow and has already had a beneficial impact on my running in terms of time, fitness levels and technique.

GS – I have had the pleasure of both being coached by Ged and coaching alongside him and I would have no hesitation in recommending him as Running Coach for all levels. It is his ability to  communicate and demonstrate with clarity and enthusiasm that sets him apart in this field. His depth of knowledge coupled with his own experiences over multiple distances forms the basis of his structured and detailed training plans making them suitable for beginners through to more experienced runners. An excellent  motivator committed to runner development.

SC – “Ged is really enthusiastic about coaching and the sessions he leads at the club are well thought out and explained – I know exactly what I am supposed to gain from each session and how it fits into my training programme. Ged always explains good techniques and gives encouragement at each session which I find very motivating. He seeks feedback from those he coaches and from the wider club as well to ensure that sessions meet peoples needs and expectations. Since being coached by Ged my running has significantly improved and I recently smashed my 10k PB. I’m hoping to do the same at the Fleet half marathon this year. Ged is approachable and inspiring and the support and encouragement he has given me is second to none.” (Due to illness Sarah was unable to run in Fleet Half Marathon. A new plan was put together for Maidenhead Half Marathon where SC ran a 1:29:47 giving her a Championship place for the Virgin London Marathon)

DW (Mr parkrun , holds the record for competing the most number of parkruns worldwide) – Ged is a great coach, having trained with him for a number of years he has a wealth of knowledge and designs some brilliant training sessions to achieve the individuals running goals .  He is supportive, enthusiastic, patient and honest.

LA: I met Ged when I joined my local running club. Since training with Ged I have dramatically improved my speed and endurance, thanks to his tough but fun speed sessions. With his encouragement I have entered my first marathon . Ged has put together an achievable schedule that fits around my busy life as a working mum. I’m two months into my schedule and I am feeling stronger and fitter than ever. Knowing that Ged believes I can do it, I know I will achieve my sub 4 hour marathon goal. (LA ran a 3:45:12 in 2014 Virgin London Marathon, 3:37:01 in 2015 Brighton Marathon and 3:29:43 in 2016 Virgin London Marathon)

PS: I have always run at about 10 km/hr. I just increased my pace after the training with you (very effective!).

AG. I love the running sessions with you and the team on Thursdays and look forward every week.

SD. With all your training I attempted my first proper Park Run (did one once before but had my 2 kids with me so it was more of a walk than a run!) and I nearly ran the whole way which I never thought I’d ever be able to achieve!

Training Plans

JP – I am competing in my 7th Olympic distance triathlon (Noosa Triathlon in Queensland) this Sunday and have been following your Sub 45min running program to the tee for the last 11 weeks, now in the last week. I am hoping get a sub 2hrs 30min (47 to 45 for the run). By way of feedback, I loved the program and will be recommending it to friends. I managed to win our local park run in my age group two weeks ago (+50s) and came in 14th out of ~280, so it’s certainly helped a lot.

LL – Looking at Power of 10 – 33rd fastest UK lady in the marathon in 2014, thanks to the training plan from Ged Ruffle
